This low-calorie, delicious snack is packed with Vitamin A which helps with growth, development, healthy skin, immunity, and vision. All you need is a sweet potato, some olive oil, salt, pepper, and powdered garlic.
Chop your sweet potato into fry-resembling shapes.
Let them soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes.
This will allow for the starch to come out of the potato which will keep them from sticking to each other and also help them become crispier in the oven.
Next, toss the potatoes with just enough olive oil to coat them, and then sprinkle with seasonings of your choice. I like salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Then bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 20-40 min depending on how thick your fries are and how crispy you like them.
Homemade fry sauce includes ketchup, mayonnaise, and some barbecue sauce. Enjoy!
